A transgender person is someone whose gender identity doesn't align with the sex they were assigned at birth. The Transgender Flag was created in 1999 by Monica Helms, a trans woman. The light blue represents the traditional color for men and the pink represents the traditional color for women. The white represents anyone transitioning, those who have a neutral gender or no gender, and those who are intersex. The flag was designed to represent the correct meaning no matter which way it is flown.
