On April 21, in celebration of the Book Shop's 85th birthday, the Luther community voted on a vintage shirt design to bring back to the store! This design from 1991 won with about 40% of all votes overall!

Like the original design, this crewneck sweatshirt will feature vintage puff ink imprint. Although not printed on a t-shirt, we have chosen a soft, medium weight vintage-feel crewneck from MV Sport made with sustainable practices.

This design originated on an ash gray heavyweight 100% cotton Jansport T-shirt in puff ink imprint. In 1991, the tee retailed at $10.50 (worth about $25 today) for sizes S-XL and at $12.50 for size XXL.

The tee was featured in the 1991 Luther Book Shop Christmas gift guide mail-in order form. The mailers were sent to all Luther alumni and those in the U.S. with the surname "Luther". These mail-in order forms have since been replaced by our online catalog on our website.
