This pride flag includes brown and black stripes. Historically, queer people of color were often not fully included in the LGBTQ+ community. Often queer people of color faced harmful and violent discrimination. Because of this, the city of Philadelphia added black and brown to the Pride Flag to honor the manyunderrepresented queer people of color.
