Chris Norton '14  Book Signing
Tuesday, February 28 @ 7:30pm in the Center for Faith and Life- Main Hall

Chris inspires audiences as he shares life lessons learned after suffering a spinal cord injury playing college football and he was given just a 3% chance of regaining movement below his neck. After 4 years of intense training Chris proved he could beat those odds and celebrated by proudly walking across the stage of his college graduation to receive his diploma. His great accomplishment made worldwide news and was watched by tens of millions around the globe. Overcoming his adversity, Chris has been on a quest to pay it forward by sharing his story about the Power to Stand and by creating a nonprofit organization to improve the qualify of life for individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCI) and other neuromuscular deficiencies. After the lecture Chris will have a book signing for his book, The Power of Faith When Tradegdy Strikes. The book is available in the Book Shop.

The former standup comic turned ordained ELCA pastor is the founding pastor of House for All Sinners and Saints in Denver, Colorado, and the author of the best-selling theological memoir, Pastrix: The Cranky Beautiful Faith of a Sinner & Saint (2013) and New York Times best seller, Accidental Saints: Finding God in All the Wrong People (2015). Both books are available in the Book Shop.

Dr. Michael Osterholm '75 Book Signing
Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 5:00pm in the CFL Main Hall

Dr. Osterholm will be giving a lecture on his new book, Deadliest Enemy: Our War Aganizt Killer Germs. Dr. Osterholm is Regents Professor, McKnight Presidential Endowed Chair in Public Health, the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP), Distinguished Teaching Professor in the Division of Environmental Health Sciences, School of Public Health, a professor in the Technological Leadership Institute, College of Science and Engineering, and an adjunct professor in the Medical School, all at the University of Minnesota. He is also on the Board of Regents at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. The book will be available in the Book Shop for purchase March 14, 2017.
